PHILADELPHIA – To kick off head coach
Bill Wagner's 50th and final season at the helm, the University of Pennsylvania sprint football program hits the gridiron for the first time with a massive test.
The Quakers will welcome last year's Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) North Division champion Army for a showdown beneath the Franklin Field floodlights this Friday at 7 p.m.

The 2019 season will be
Bill Wagner's 50th and final season as the head coach of the Penn Sprint Football program. After being hired in June 1969, Wagner led the Quakers to five CSFL Championships and has coached 136 victories. Over his years at Penn, Wagner is estimated to have coached over 1,500 student-athletes between his time in charge of the sprint football program as well as his 35 years as an assistant coach with the baseball team.

Franklin Field 125
2019 marks the 125th anniversary of the opening of Penn's historic Franklin Field. The venue has hosted 28 games between the Quakers and the Black Knights and will serve as the venue for this year's CSFL Championship game on Friday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m.
