Penn Football Game Day Information

Join the uprising at Franklin Field this fall! Penn Football games offer affordable family fun, with a unique promotion and entertaining game day experience in the heart of University City! The Red and Blue return on October 4, beginning a five-game home schedule that concludes with the season finale on November 23. Fans will see some changes around Franklin Field including all seating on the North side of the stadium, an enhanced Kick-Off Zone, and the introduction of Pregame on The Green!

Pregame on The Green
Located on Shoemaker Green, Pregame on The Green offers a turnkey tailgating solution for groups in need of a gathering space before select home football games. All packages include a private area, tables, chairs, food and non-alcoholic beverages. Beer and wine, for those 21 or older, are available for an additional cost. Pregame on the Green opens three hours prior to kickoff and closes at kickoff. Groups are encouraged to bring their own lawn games and music!

Pregame on The Green will be open for three games this season! Fans can reserve a space on the following game days: Saturday, 11/2 vs. Brown; Saturday, 11/9 vs. Cornell; & Saturday, 11/23 vs. Princeton. Space is limited, and availability varies by game. Group Experiences
Penn Football games are perfect for your next group outing! Groups can take part in exciting experiences like a pre-game high five tunnel, a group photo on the field, stadium tours and more. Groups also have the opportunity to sing the national anthem, present the colors or perform on the field.

Kick-off Zone
Back by popular demand, the Kick-Off Zone will be open during all home games this season. The Kick-Off Zone gives fans a field level view of the game, access to a unique food menu, and the opportunity to take a picture with the Heisman Trophy! For those 21 and older, beer will be available for purchase inside the Kick-Off Zone.

Located just inside the 33rd Street entrance, the Kick-Off Zone will be open 90 minutes prior to kick-off through the conclusion of halftime. All fans with tickets to the game are welcome to attend and enjoy fun games for the whole family. Entrance to the Kick-off Zone is free!

Concrete Restoration Project Update
Due to concrete restoration projects at Franklin Field, the South and East stands and concourse will be closed for the next two seasons. All season ticket holders and fans will be relocated to the North side of the stadium. While there is no permanent chair back seating in the North side stands, fans can purchase a portable chairback to enhance their gameday experience.   For more information, visit PennAthletics.com/chairback.
 
Penn Football will also be switching its "home" sideline to the North side of the Franklin Field turf so the team can continue to hear your support throughout the game. 
 
Ticket Sales and Stadium Entrances
All gates along South Street will be closed for the duration of the season. The East Gate, at the corner of Convention Ave. and South Street will not be open to the general public. The East Gate will only be open as be a drop off area for fans in need of ADA seating. Fans are encouraged to enter the stadium through the North side and West end of the stadium.

    Gate 1: Any fan with a ticket, visiting team will call 
    Gate 2: Any fan with a ticket, Penn player guest will call, gameday ticket sales location
    Gate 3: Penn Students
    Northwest Gate (Weightman Hall Driveway): VIP Entrance, general will call, gameday ticket sales location
    
ADA seating is available in the first row of the south side of Franklin Field. Fans may access ADA seating through the East Gate or inner east concourse. Access to seating area require an escort with event staff. A general admission ticket is required to sit in these sections. Please contact the Penn Athletics Ticket Office in advance via phone 215-898-6151 or e-mail tickets@pobox.upenn.edu if you or a guest in your party require accessible seating.
 
R. Tait McKenzie Society Tent
Access to the RTM hospitality tent is limited R. Tait McKenzie Society members. The RTM hospitality tent opens 1 hour prior to kickoff.  RTM member should be aware that scaffolding from the restoration project will be set up on the concourse on the East end of the stadium and in the east end zone. Due to the ongoing restoration project the entrance to the RTM tent has changed. The entrance through the East tunnel will be closed. RTM members are asked to enter the tent through a ramp located at the bottom of section NL. Chestnut Street Bridge Construction
Ongoing PENNDOT construction on the Chestnut Street Bridge Project will cause the Chestnut Street Bridge to close for approximately one year.  The closure will result in changes to traffic patterns, signs, signals and volume near campus.  Fans are encouraged to avoid parking in the garage at 32nd and Chestnut on game day to avoid delays in entering and exiting the game.  Other gameday parking locations include the Penn Museum Garage, Penn Park, Chestnut 34 and Ludlow 34.  Fans may experience traffic congestion and travel delays when going to and from games, particularly when arriving or departing during rush hour.  Fans are encouraged to adjust travel plans to include delays in and around the parking garages.

Fans can also utilize public transportation when coming to Franklin Field on game day.  For more information on SEPTA services visit septa.org.
