PHILADELPHIA - Another exciting slate of games are on tap for the University of Pennsylvania women's basketball team for the 2019-20 season, as the Quakers have announced their schedule for the upcoming year.

The Quakers, coming off an Ivy League regular season championship last season, their sixth-straight 20+ win season and seventh-straight postseason appearance, will host 12 games at The Palestra, with marquee matchups in the non-conference including a trip to ACC power Duke and a winter break jaunt to Hawaii for two games in The Aloha State. 

Non-Conference Schedule...
vs. SIENA (Saturday, Nov. 9): The Quakers will open their season against the Saints for the second-straight year ... Penn defeated Siena on the road last year, 58-51 ... Phoebe Sterba and Eleah Parker combined to score 28 points in the victory ... This year's meeting will be the fourth all-time, with Penn leading the series 2-1 ... 2018-19 record: 12-18, 8-10 MAAC.

at NJIT (Wednesday, Nov. 13): Penn will square off against the Highlanders for the third-straight year, making the short trip to Newark ... The Quakers notched their largest victory against a Division I opponent since 1981 last time the two teams played, defeating NJIT 85-42 last November inside The Palestra ... Penn's last trip to Newark came at the NJIT Christmas Tournament in 2017, where it won two games ... The Quakers are 4-2 all-time against NJIT and have won each of the last four meetings ... 2018-19 record: 6-24, 3-13 ASUN.

vs. IONA (Sunday, Nov. 17): Penn meets Iona for the second-straight season after defeating the Gaels in New York last year ... Eleah Parker led the way with an 18 point, 12 rebound double-double against the Gaels last season, as the Quakers won, 66-43 ... The Quakers are 2-1 all-time vs. Iona, but have never played inside The Palestra ... 2018-19 record: 5-26, 3-15 MAAC.

at SAINT JOSEPH'S (Wednesday, Nov. 20): Big 5 play opens at Saint Joseph's for the Quakers, who have won two straight against the Hawks for the first time in program history ... Penn is just 4-40 all-time against SJU, but has won three of the last five meetings, including a 65-45 victory last season ... Penn tallied a 57-50 win last time the two teams played on Hawk Hill ... The Quakers are in the midst of their best stretch against Big 5 opponents in program history, with wins in six of their last eight games in the city series, including a Big 5 championship in 2017-18 ... 2018-19 record: 12-19, 7-9 A-10.

at DUKE (Friday, Nov. 29): The Quakers will visit Tobacco Road for Thanksgiving festivities to round out the month of November, squaring off against Duke for the fourth time overall and third under Coach Mike McLaughlin ... This season's game with Duke is part one of a home-and-home, as the Blue Devils will visit The Palestra next year ... This marks Penn's 14th regular season contest against a Power 5 opponent in McLaughlin's tenure with the Red and Blue ... Penn tallied its first win against an ACC opponent in 2014, defeating Miami ... The Quakers are 0-3 against Duke, but have proven competitive in each of the last two meetings, including just a seven-point loss inside The Palestra in 2015 ... at LA SALLE (Wednesday, Dec. 4): Big 5 play continues for the Quakers with a midweek matchup at La Salle ... Penn dismantled the Explorers last season inside The Palestra, 65-34, its second-largest victory over La Salle in program history ... The Quakers have won six of the last nine meetings against the Explorers and are 11-35 all-time against their Philadelphia rival ... vs. STETSON (Saturday, Dec. 7): A busy stretch of four games in eight days concludes inside The Palestra, as Stetson comes to town ... The Princeton Rivalry...

*The Quakers will open their Ivy League slate of competition against the Tigers for the 15th-straight season before visiting The Garden State for a midweek matchup at the end of February. The two teams have met in the championship of the Ivy League Tournament in all three years of its existence.

Ivy League Tournament...
Saturday March 14 and Sunday March 15 at Harvard
*For the fourth-straight year, the regular season will be followed by the Ivy League Tournament, as Penn hopes to finish in the top half of the Ancient Eight to qualify. The tournament will take place at Harvard's Lavietes Pavilion. The winner of the Ivy League Tournament will receive the Ancient Eight's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. Penn has advanced to the championship game in all three years of its existence, including winning the championship in 2017.
