PHILADELPHIA - Heading into his second year at the helm of the University of Pennsylvania men's soccer program, James C. Gentle Head Coach Brian Gill has announced the upcoming slate of games for the 2019 edition of the Quakers. 

Penn will play 16 regular season contests this fall, including seven Ivy League matchups and eight home games at Rhodes Field. 

"We are looking forward to build off some of the momentum we built as a program last year and carry that into competition on the field this fall," said Gill. "Our non-conference schedule is nicely balanced with games both at home and on the road against quality teams that we hope can prepare us for an exciting Ivy League season."

For the third-straight year, the Quakers will open things up with battle against Monmouth, traveling up to the Jersey Shore to face the Hawks on Friday, Sept. 6. Penn's home opener will be just a few days later, as the Red and Blue welcome Marist to Rhodes Field on Sept. 9.

Penn will face off against BIG EAST foe St. John's on Sept. 13 before returning for three straight matches in Philadelphia against Rutgers, Temple and Lehigh. The month of September ends with a trip to Morgantown against 2018 NCAA Tournament qualifier West Virginia on the 28th. 

Cornell awaits as Penn's lid-lifter in the Ivy League for the 12th-straight year on Oct. 5 at Rhodes Field, followed by a trip to The Empire State to battle Columbia on Oct. 13. 

Penn will wrap its non-conference with midweek road matchups against UMBC (Oct. 15) and Drexel (Oct. 22), with a home tilt against Dartmouth on Oct. 19 sandwiched in between. The regular season ends with home contests against Yale (Oct. 26) and Princeton for homecoming (Nov. 9), plus trips to Brown (Nov. 2) and Harvard (Nov. 16).

The Quakers return 13 letterwinners from last season, including All-Ivy performers Alex Touche and Brandon Bartel.
