Men’s Soccer Lands Three Major Philly Soccer Six Awards

PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Soccer Six released its postseason awards on Wednesday afternoon, with the University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team taking three major awards.
 
Patrick Cayelli earned Player of the Year, Phillip Falcon III landed Goalkeeper of the Year, and Oliver Pratt grabbed Defensive Player of the Year to highlight Penn's postseason awards. The three Quakers also earned spots on the Philadelphia Soccer Six Top XI along with Marco Bottene.
 
Midfielder Cayelli was a five-time Soccer Six Player of the Week, including the final three weeks of the season. He led the Ivy League in points (26) and assists (8) and was tied for first in goals (9). He never went more than three games this season without recording a point.
 
Defender Pratt started all 17 games for the Quakers and led a back line that allowed just 12 goals in 17 matches. He also added three goals and four assists for 10 points.
 
Keeper Falcon posted a 7-3-2 mark and had a 0.58 goals against average, ranking second in the Ivy League. He recorded seven clean sheets for the season and was the Goalkeeper of the Week twice.
 
Forward Bottene started in 14 matches this year, tallying a career-high ten points, headed by four assists. The sophomore soccer his first collegiate goal in the Philly Soccer Six battle with Drexel, followed by back-to-back Ivy League goals against Cornell and Dartmouth.
