#12 Women's Lacrosse Closes Regular Season at Harvard

PHILADELPHIA - The end of the regular season is on the horizon for the 12th-ranked University of Pennsylvania women's lacrosse team, as the Quakers travel to New England for a matchup at Harvard on Saturday, April 27 at 12 p.m.

Series History
The Quakers lead the all-time series vs. Harvard 30-17, including 21-straight wins over the Crimson. In fact, Coach Karin Corbett has only lost once to Harvard, in her first season of 2000. Last year, Penn scored its second-most points in a game in program history, defeating the Crimson 24-13 at Franklin Field.

A Perfect Ten
Following last weekend's 21-7 victory over Columbia, the Quakers clinched their spot in the 2019 Ivy League Tournament, set to be hosted by the Lions in New York City. Penn is the only team in the conference to qualify for all 10 possible Ivy League Tournaments since their inception in 2010.

Rosenzweig Makes the Cut
For the second-straight year, junior attacker Gabby Rosenzweig has been named one of 25 nominees for the Tewaaraton Award, honoring the best player in college lacrosse. Rosenzweig leads the Quakers in scoring with 28 goals and 44 assists for 72 points. Her 72 points this season are tied for No. 5 all-time by a Quaker and are 13 away from the program record of 85 which Rosenzweig tied last season. Her 44 assists in 2019 are already a career-high and are No. 2 all-time by a Quaker.

Standout Stadler
Freshman Taylyn Stadler is the only rookie for the Red and Blue to start all 14 games so far, and she has made her presence known, currently ranking fourth on the team with 26 points, including 21 goals and five assists. Stadler has scored in all but one game for Penn this year, netting a season-high three goals on three occasions: at Rutgers, at #5 Northwestern and at Columbia.

Lending a Helping Hand
One of Penn's catalysts on offense this season has been through the assist-making prowess of junior Gabby Rosenzweig. The New York native leads the team with 44 assists (the next closest has 12) and ranks fourth nationally, averaging 3.14 assists per game.

Decker Delivers
Coming off the bench each of the last three games, sophomore Elyse Decker is in the midst of her strongest offensive performances of the season, netting two goals against Dartmouth and delivering a season-high three goals on Wednesday against Princeton and another two at Columbia.

McMahon on the Rise
Freshman Michaela McMahon has played all 14 games for the Quakers this season, scoring in all but two games this year, including a season-high four last time out at Columbia.

Ball-Magnet Bosco
After collecting 19 ground balls last year, sophomore Abby Bosco has asserted herself on the field for Penn, already picking up 44 this season to lead the squad. Against Dartmouth, Bosco tallied eight ground ball pickups, the most for a Penn player since Emma Spiro against Brown in 2008.

Keepin' It 100
Junior midfielder Erin Barry has eclipsed the 100 mark in both ground balls and draw controls this season, and recently completed the trifecta, netting her 100th career goal against Columbia. Against Dartmouth, Gabby Rosenzweig joined the 100-goal club, now owning 101 in her three-plus years with Penn. She has 93 career assists.

RPI Watch
Penn is slotted 17th in the latest NCAA RPI, one of three Ivy League squads in the top-20.

Aye, Aye Captain(s)!
Senior defenders Katy Junior and Lauren O'Mara have been tabbed as captains for the 2019 campaign of Penn women's lacrosse.

Honing In On Harvard
The Crimson enter Saturday's matchup with an overall record of 6-8, including a 1-5 mark in the Ivy League, outside of contention for the Ivy League Tournament. Harvard's lone win in the Ancient Eight came against Yale in March. Senior Keeley MacAfee leads the way statistically, boasting 63 points, nearly double the next closest player for the Crimson. Her 45 goals are third-most in the Ivy League. Grace Rotondo represents Harvard in goal, allowing an average of 11.63 goals per game with .480 save percentage.
