DOMINATING DOUBLES
Penn has earned the doubles point in each of its last 11 matches, including all five in Ivy play and all three duos sport a tremendous record as we head down the final stretch of the season. The Quakers' No. 1 team, Marta Kowalska and Marija Curnic, is ranked No. 51 in the nation and are 20-7 this season. In Ivy play, they are 3-1. Iuliia Bryzgalova and OJ Singh have been outstanding at the No. 2 spot with a 14-1 record in the spring and also 3-1 in the Ivy League. Not to be outdone, Carolyn Xie and Ashley Zhu are a perfect 4-0 in Ivy action and 6-2 overall in the No. 3 slot.
BRYZGALOVA'S BRILLIANCE
Freshman Iuliia Bryzgalova is now 26-3 as a rookie and is 13-1 in the spring without losing a single set in league play. She is now ranked No. 99 in the nation in singles and building a strong case as the conference's best player.
SENIOR DAY
On Sunday, Penn will honor its two seniors Marta Kowalska and OJ Singh. Both have played pivotal roles in this season's success. Kowalska joins Curnic as Penn's formidable and nationally-ranked doubles team and is 9-5 this spring at No. 2. Singh has also been terrific in doubles, joining Bryzgalova to go 14-1 at No. 2 in the spring. In singles, at No. 5, Singh is 12-5 in dual matches and 4-1 in Ivy play.
PREVIEWING YALE
Yale enters the weekend at 4-1 in league action with wins over Brown, Columbia, Cornell and Dartmouth and with a 4-3 loss to Harvard; the Crimson also beat Penn earlier this month. The Bulldogs hold the all-time series edge over Penn with 26 wins to the Quakers' 19. Penn has battled back of late, though, winning the past two meetings.
PREVIEWING BROWN
Brown is 10-11 and will play Princeton on Saturday before making its way to Philadelphia. In Ivy play, the Bears beat Cornell and Dartmouth while suffering losses to Yale, Columbia and Harvard. Penn leads Brown 27-15, but the Bears took both meetings last season.
