Tipoff is slated for Sunday, March 24 at 4 p.m.

   -   The Quakers shot out early and never looked back in their first round victory over American, paced by double-digit performances from Ashley Russell, Eleah Parker and Phoebe Sterba.

Penn in the Postseason
Penn is in the midst of a record seven-straight postseason appearances. In 2013, Penn posted the first two postseason wins in program history with home wins over Howard (65-60) and Fairfield (49-48) in the opening two rounds of the Women's Basketball Invitational. Penn then lost in the semifinals at Detroit, 71-68. The following season, the Red and Blue led fifth-seeded Texas in the first round of the NCAA Tournament by as many as 15 in the first half (32-17), and seven at halftime (38-31), but ultimately fell, 79-61. In 2014, Penn earned its first-ever WNIT berth and victory with a home win over Hofstra before a close second-round loss at The Palestra to Big 5 rival Temple. The 2015-16 Quakers earned the No. 10 seed in the NCAA Tournament and fell to Washington, 65-53, in College Park, Md. in the First Round. In 2017, Penn entered the NCAA Tournament as a 12 seed, and at one point led No. 5 Texas A&M by 21 in the fourth quarter before getting edged by the Aggies, 63-61.

Last season, Penn earned its fourth postseason victory all-time, collecting a 76-61 win over UAlbany in the WNIT before falling to St. John's in the second round.  The Quakers' fifth postseason victory in program history came on Friday, a 65-45 win over American at The Palestra.

Scouting the Friars
Providence enters Sunday's matchup at 18-15 overall following a 71-54 victory in the opening round of the WNIT. The Friars went just 8-10 in the BIG EAST and were dispatched in the second round of the conference tournament. Penn and Providence share three common opponents on the year in Villanova, La Salle and Yale, with the Quakers earning three wins in four games against the group. Jovana Nogic and Maddie Jolin pace the Friars on offense, as Nogic averages over 2.6 made 3-pointers per game.

All-Ivy Accolades
The Quakers had three players named All-Ivy for the sixth-straight season, including a unanimous first-team nod for sophomore Eleah Parker, and second-team accolades for seniors Ashley Russell and Princess Aghayere. Additionally, Parker was named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year, and Mike McLaughlin was tabbed the Ivy League Coach of the Year.

Atop the Mountain
Penn boasts high rankings not just among the Ivy League. Known for a disciplined commitment to defense, Penn ranks third in the nation in fewest fouls, while ranking fifth in field goal percentage defense (33.6) and eighth in scoring defense. Penn's average of 42.5 rebounds per game is 18th nationally, its 5.3 blocked shots a game is 12th in the country and the Quakers rank 15th overall in defending the 3-point line. Offensively, Penn is 13th nationally in fewest turnovers.

Brick Wall
Opponents have faced a tough task when going inside to face Parker, as the sophomore ranks second nationally, averaging 3.1 blocks per game. Her 94 blocks so far this season individually would rank her over 147 TEAMS in block totals and are second-most in a season in program history.

20-Win Seasons
Penn has surpassed the 20-win plateau for the sixth-straight year and seventh season all-time.

Ivy League Success
Penn has won at least 11 Ivy League games for the sixth-straight year. Prior to its current record run, Penn had won 11 or more Ivy League games only twice in its entire history.
