Dunn Selected In Fourth Round by MLL's Florida Launch

PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania had one of its decorated seniors selected in the Major League Lacrosse Draft on Saturday night, as midfielder Tyler Dunn was picked in the fourth round (29th overall) by the Florida Launch. Dunn is the 12th player in program history to be selected in the MLL Draft, the first of which happened in 2001.

A two-time honorable mention All-Ivy honoree, Dunn has six goals and an assist for seven points through Penn's first five games this season. Overall, he has played 47 games for the Red and Blue, recording 61 goals and 12 assists for 73 points. Between his freshman and sophomore years, Dunn won a gold medal playing for the United States at the 2016 FIL Under-19 World Cup along with current Penn teammates Simon Mathias, Alex Roesner and Noah Lejman.

Penn is 2-3 after sweeping No. 11 Villanova and Saint Joseph's in the inaugural Philly 4 Lacrosse Classic over the weekend. The Quakers' losses have come in overtime to No. 7 Maryland, by a goal at No. 6 Penn State, and at No. 5 Duke. The men will open Ivy League play this Saturday with Princeton at 3:30 p.m.; that game will be the second of an Alumni Day doubleheader, as the women start the day with Duke at noon.
