The Penn-Lafayette Series
• The Quakers and the Leopards are meeting for the 53rd time overall, with Penn holding a 43-9 lead in the series.

• Penn has won three in a row after a 91-61 victory last year at The Palestra. Devon Goodman led the way with 16 points, Jarrod Simmons had 11 off the bench, and AJ Brodeur added 10.

• The last time the Quakers played up here in Easton, in 2017, they escaped Kirby Sports Center with a 73-68 win.

• Prior to Penn's current streak, Lafayette had won four in a row, the Leopards' longest win streak in the series.

• Lafayette is arguably Penn's most regular non-conference rival over the last several decades; the Quakers and Leopards have met every season since 1985-86 with two exceptions (1987-88, 2006-07).

• All-time, Penn is 166-58 against programs that currently play in the Patriot League.

Hello, My Friend, Hello
Lafayette, of course, is coached by Fran O'Hanlon. O'Hanlon and Penn head coach Steve Donahue go way back; not only were they assistant coaches together at Penn under Fran Dunphy, but O'Hanlon hired Donahue as an assistant when he was head coach at Monsignor Bonner High School. There, they helped guide Bonner to a Catholic League title.

A Bit About AJ Brodeur
• The senior enters Tuesday's game with 28 straight double-figure scoring games, the fifth-longest streak in program history...
  Ernie Beck, 74 from 1951-53
  Stan Pawlak, 60 from 1964-66
  Ron Haigler, 41 from 1974-75
  Keven McDonald, 38 from 1977-78
  AJ Brodeur, 28 in 2019
  Jeff Neuman, 25 in 1966

• AJ has started all 95 games played during his career; his streak of starts is currently the 10th-longest in the NCAA Division 1 level.

• AJ is 13th on Penn's all-time scoring list with 1,424 points; Mark Zoller is 12th with 1,429 points from 2004-07, while Bruce Lefkowitz is 11th with 1,443 points from 1984-87.

Penn by the Numbers
1 • Among the program's 1,792 all-time wins, the number that have taken place on an SEC opponent's home court; that happened in the season opener, when Penn won at Alabama 81-80.

3 • All-Ivy players who return to Penn's lineup in 2019-20: senior captains AJ Brodeur, (two-time unanimous first-team All-Ivy), Ryan Betley (second-team All-Ivy in 2017-18), and Devon Goodman (second-team in 2018-19).

4 • Three-point baskets scored by Betley last Wednesday vs. La Salle, high for a Penn player this season.

6 • Consecutive Big 5 wins by Penn after the 75-59 win over La Salle; that is the program's longest streak since the Quakers won six in a row across the 2001-02 and 2002-03 seasons.

7.5 • Seconds left when freshman Jordan Dingle hit a shot in the lane to give Penn its winning points at Alabama.

8.3 • Brodeur's rebounds-per-game average last season, best since Tim Krug averaged 8.9 in 1995-96. He is averaging 10.3 boards through the first three games of the 2019-20 season.

9 • Penn players who have recorded at least one double-figure scoring game during their career; that includes six players with at least one game of 20 or more points and four with double-doubles (Brodeur, Betley, Eddie Scott, Bryce Washington).

10 • The number of NCAA Division 1 players who finished the 2018-19 season with at least 500 points, 250 rebounds and 100 assists. That list included guys like R.J. Barrett (Duke), Grant Williams (Tennessee) and Ethan Happ (Wisconsin). It also included Brodeur, who led Penn with 547 points, 257 rebounds and 113 assists.

10.1 • Points-per-game improvement by Goodman from 2017-18 (3.8 ppg) to last year (13.9); he was one of just five players nationally at Division 1 to make the double-digit jump in ppg.

13.5 • Time, in seconds, that Penn has trailed in the second half of its two wins this season; Alabama held an 80-79 lead in the opener, which set the stage for Dingle's winning shot, and La Salle never led in the second half last Wednesday.

21 • Career double-doubles for Brodeur after he went for 20 points and 13 rebounds against the Explorers; he has two double-doubles through three games this season.

24 • Points scored by Dingle at Alabama, most ever by a Penn freshman in his collegiate debut; he followed that up with 20 points at Rice.

43 • Overall wins by Penn during the previous two seasons, 24 in 2017-18 and 19 in 2018-19; that is the most since the Quakers had 47 wins across the 2001-02 (25) and 2002-03 (22) seasons.

56 • Games between Scott's first double-figure scoring game at Penn and his second, which happened at Alabama (10 points).
