Alumni Events
Saturday's game is the showcase for a busy day around the Penn men's basketball program.

The program's annual Alumni Game will tip things off on Saturday, taking place from 11 a.m. to noon on the Palestra floor. Fans are invited to come to this free event and cheer on their favorite former Quakers.

Penn also will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the program's 1978-79 Final Four team. Central to that celebration, at halftime of Saturday's Penn-Princeton game the players and coaches from that team will be presented on-court with championship rings signifying their accomplishment.

Finally, it's 1970s and 1980s "Decade Day" and all former players from those decades are invited back for pre-game and post-game receptions.

Contact Tim McLaughlin (tmclau@upenn.edu) or Nick Kokiko (nkokiko@upenn.edu) with the Penn Champions Club for more information about this weekend's alumni events.

The Series with Princeton
• Saturday represents the 241st meeting between Penn and Princeton in men's basketball, with the Quakers holding a 126-114 lead in the series. Penn has not played any other opponent more than Princeton in its history.

• Princeton won the first meeting of the season between these rivals last Saturday in New Jersey, taking a 68-65 decision in overtime. It was the eighth OT game in the last 31 contests between these teams dating back to 2003-04.

• Penn swept the series last year, taking a 76-70 win here at The Palestra and an 82-65 victory at Princeton. It was the Quakers' first sweep of the Tigers since the 2007-08 season, and their 82 points in the second win marked a program high at Jadwin Gym.

• Prior to last year's Red and Blue sweep, Princeton had won eight in a row over Penn, 11 of the last 12 meetings, and 16 of the previous 18 encounters.

Last Saturday at Princeton
Penn and Princeton played a back-and-forth game that saw 14 lead changes, five ties, and no team ever leading by a double-digit margin. Penn put four players in double figures in scoring, led by AJ Brodeur who had 18 points and a career-high 15 rebounds. Devon Goodman scored 15 points, while Bryce Washington and Antonio Woods scored 11 each. For Princeton, Myles Stephens had 11 points and 16 rebounds while Richmond Aririguzoh scored a game-high 20 points.
