PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania volleyball team (3-9, 0-1 Ivy) continues Ivy League play this Friday and Saturday at The Palestra. Penn will host Yale (7-3, 1-0 Ivy) on Friday (7 p.m.) and wrap up with Brown (7-4, 0-1 Ivy) on Saturday (5 p.m.). The Quakers will be looking to bounce back after falling to Princeton last week.

Previewing Penn

* This weekend wraps up a three-game homestand for the Quakers. Seven of Penn's next nine will come on the road.

* Parker Jones recorded her 12th career double-double last week. She is just the fourth player since 2010 to have ten or more double-doubles in the first 35 games of her career and the second outside hitter to reach the mark. 

* Raven Sulaimon is just five kills short of matching her total during her freshman season. The sophomore currently has 123 on the year. 

* The only player for the Quakers to start all 12 games this season, Daniela Fornaciari, ranks in the top-five in the Ivy League in total blocks (38).

* The Quakers pulled off one of the biggest wins of the 2017 Ivy League season last year on October 28. Penn defeated a red-hot Yale team which had won six straight Ivy matches and 10 of its last 11 contests.The Bulldogs lost just five sets during that stretch. At the Palestra, the Red and Blue lost the opening set, but came back to win the next two. After the Bulldogs leveled the match with a fourth set win, the Quakers prevailed in a fifth set nail-biter, 15-13.

* The Bulldogs are 7-3 this season which included winning their Ivy League opener last week against Brown. Freshman, Ellis DeJardin, has won Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors twice as she leads the team in kills with 94.

* Penn swept Brown last season which included a 3-0 win at The Palestra. That win marked the Quakers' 50^th all-time over the Bears.

Previewing The Bears
* The Bears feature a new coaching staff in 2018 as head coach Ahen Kim takes over. Senior Sabrina Stillwell leads the Ivy League with 4.52 kills per set. She has posted 20 or more kills five times this season and has tallied eight double-doubles.
