New Uniforms, Team Photo Day, First Practices Highlight Opening Weekend For Football

PHILADELPHIA -- The 142nd season of Penn Football got off to an exciting start with a series of events to kickoff a new season for the #UPrising.

The 2018 season officially began with the unveiling of a new set of uniforms for the team. Highlighted by a new all-white helmet and new blue and white uniforms, the Quakers took to the streets of Philadelphia to show off their new look.
On Friday, the team took to Franklin Field for the first time as a group, settling in for the team photo and a multitude of group and individual photos. Always a fun day, the team showcased its personality while producing content fans will see in Franklin Field and on social media all season long.

On Saturday, the Red and Blue strapped their helmets on for the first time as practice got underway.

The next big milestone for the Quakers during preseason camp will be a live session with officials present on Saturday, the fst of three such sessions before the season opener against Bucknell on September 15 at Franklin Field.
