No. 14 Women's Lacrosse Battles No. 22 Johns Hopkins Saturday

PHILADELPHIA – No. 14 Penn (1-0) hosts its first Top-25 opponent of the season on Saturday, taking on No. 22 Johns Hopkins (3-0) at Franklin Field. Opening draw with the Blue Jays is scheduled for 12 p.m. and will be broadcast live on the Ivy League Network and ESPN3/WatchESPN.

One Team For One Love
The Quakers and Blue Jays are opponents on the field, but on the same team in terms of supporting the One Love Foundation. All week long, the Quakers have been raising money and awareness for the One Love Foundation and that continues during the game as each team has pledged donations for each goal scored in the game. If you are interested in joining the two teams, you can do so here!

All-Time Vs. Johns Hopkins
The Quakers are 5-6 all-time against Johns Hopkins in a series that began in 2001. Penn has had the better of the series of late, winning five of the last six meetings dating back to 2007.

Last Year Vs. The Blue Jays
Condon…Condon…Condon… It was the Alex Condon show in Baltimore as she scored eight goals in a 10-7 win at Homewood Field. The first of two eight-goal games for Condon in 2017, her efforts was then the highest-scoring game by a Quaker since 1997. The Quakers trailed, 7-5, with 22:09 to play but the defense stifled the Blue Jays the rest of the way and Condon scored three of her eight goals to give the Quakers a 9-7 lead they would not relinquish.

The Condon Conundrum
With four goals in Penn's season opener last week, Alex Condon has now scored four or more goals in six of her last 18 games dating back to the start of the 2017 season. She has 10 career 4+ goal games, and Penn is 10-0 when Condon scores 4+ goals in a game.

Record Book Watch
Alex Condon enters this weekend's game ranked No. 13 all-time at Penn in career goals (90) and No. 18 in career points (105) … Condon is two goals away from moving into No. 11 all-time at Penn … Emily Rogers-Healion ranks No. 7 in career assists (49) and No. 17 in career points (107).

The Erin Express
Erin Barry had a career high four caused turnovers in the season opener after causing just 11 all of last season. She also won four draw controls, one away from tying her career high (5) set last year at Hopkins.

Yo Gabby Gabby!
Gabby Rosenzweig is coming off a season opener where she scored three times – her fourth career hat trick. She has netted all four of her hat tricks over her last seven games – scoring 19 total goals in that span.

Stefan Stifles
Senior Natalie Stefan is playing a primary role as a defender this season – still seeing some time on attack as needed – and has acclimated well to her new role. The co-captain had four draw controls against Delaware, adding a caused turnover and three ground balls while dishing out one assist.

On The Hop
Despite two of their top three goals scorers graduating from last year's team, including third-team All-American Haley Schweitzer, Hopkins has started the season 3-0. All three wins have come at Homewood Field, including a 14-11 defeat of neighboring Loyola on Wednesday.

Miranda Ibello is the top scorer through two games, posing nine goals and six assists for a total 15 points. Last year's second leading scorer, Maggie Schneidereith, also has six goals and eight total points. Nicole DeMase has eight goals and 10 total points through three games.

Shelby Harrison (12) and Keegan Barger (11) lead the way on the draw for Hopkins. Haley Crosson has played all 180 minutes in goal and has a 9.33 GAA with a .404 save percentage.

As a team, Hopkins has a significant shot advantage over their opponents, outshooting opponents by a 109-67 margin. The turnover battle has been won by the Blue Jays as Hopkins has committed 10 fewer turnovers than its opponents and caused 12 more.
