PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania men's squash team fell 5-4 to the Ivy League Champion, Columbia Lions on Sunday afternoon. The Quakers finish 4-3 in the Ivy, all three losses came by the narrow score of 5-4. Sunday also marked the final match played at Ringe as the facility will go under reconstruction before next year. 

Penn celebrated senior day honoring Hayes Murphy, Marwan Mahmoud, Derek Hsue, James Watson, and Anders Larson. The group of seniors have been instrumental in the team's success this season and have helped build a foundation for the future. 

Unfortunately, the Red and Blue could not send them out with a win at Ringe. 

Yash Bhargava, Max Reed, and David Yacobucci all earned early wins to put the Quakers up 3-1. Bhargava fought back from 10-7 in the second to win 14-12. After losing the third, the freshman bounced back to win the fourth. Yacobucci and Reed both swept winning 3-0. 

Marwan Mahmoud looked to end his Penn Squash career with a win. The senior fought back after losing the third 11-3, to tie the match up at 2-2. Unfortunately, Mahmoud fell just short losing 11-8 in the fifth. 

With losses from James Watson and Karim Hussein, the match would come down to the No. 1 slot and the final match of the day. Looking to repeat previous heroics at Ringe such as Douglas' 3-2 win to beat Rochester and Hussein's 3-0 win to beat Yale, Douglas would once again be on deck. Unfortunately it would not go Penn's way as the freshman fell 3-0. 

The Quakers will look to get ready to see the CSA rankings on Monday to see who they will play in the Potter Cup.
