Volleyball Concludes Season With Dartmouth, Harvard at The Palestra

PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania volleyball team (5-18, 2-10 Ivy) closes its season this weekend at The Palestra. The Quakers will take on Dartmouth on Friday (3 p.m.) and Harvard on Saturday (5 p.m.). Head coach Iain Braddak and the volleyball program will recognize the program's six seniors prior to Saturday's match which will also be senior day.

Senior Spotlight

#1 Grace James - College of Arts and Sciences, Communication. 

* Made her first start against Delaware State as a freshman dishing out 23 assists in a 3-0 victory.

* James has had her best year to date as the team's primary setter, recording career highs in kills (29), assists (566), and digs (114).

* Has recorded three double-doubles.

* Named a team captain for the first time this season.

#4 Julia Tulloh - College of Arts and Sciences, Philosophy, Politics, and Economics - Wharton, Business Analytics

* Appeared in 17 matches as a sophomore, finishing with seven aces and 11 digs.

* Tulloh has once again appeared in 17 matches this season while recording a career high 36 digs. 

#8 Taylor Cooper - College of Arts and Sciences, Health and Societies

* Captain each of the last two years.

*  Cooper has been a force at the net in the Ivy League, recording 140 blocks to go with 237 kills in her four years.

* Her career-high seven blocks and 12 kills helped lead the team to its first win this season against Georgetown.

* She has 72 blocks this season which lead the team and are the sixth most in a season since 2010.

 #11 Courtney Quinn - College of Arts and Sciences, Communication

* Appeared in all 26 matches as a freshman, totaling 113 kills and 223 digs. 

* Recorded her first career double-double with 12 kills and 14 digs against Western Carolina

* Won honorable-mention All-Ivy as a sophomore. 

* Started all 26 matches her sophomore year while leading the team in kills (260). 

* Racked up a career-high 22 kills at Cornell her sophomore year while compiling team-best 11 double-doubles.

 #14 Brooke Behrbaum - School of Engineering, Systems Science and Engineering - Minors in Computer Science and Mathematics

* Came into her own as a junior leading the team with 69 blocks.

* She posted double-digit kills for the first time in her career this season when she recorded 10 against Brown at The Palestra.

* Her 10 kills, .450 attack percentage, and three solo blocks in a match this season are all career-highs.

#22 Brigit McDermott - College of Arts and Sciences, Criminology

* Four-year member of the team and dedicated teammate

About Penn

* Both of Penn's Ivy wins this season have come at The Palestra.

* Raven Sulaimon is the only Quaker with more than 200 kills. The sophomore has tallied 229 on the season. 

* Sulaimon ranks fourth in the Ivy League in kills.

* Parker Jones has recorded six double-doubles on the year. 

* Brooke Behrbaum's .284 attack percentage ranks sixth in the Ivy League.

Records: Penn leads 48-9 | Last Meeting: October 6 (Dartmouth, 3-0)

* The Quakers fell to Dartmouth earlier this season on the road, 3-0. Penn is riding an 18 match win streak at The Palestra against the Big Green. The last loss came in 1999. 

Previewing The Big Green
* The Big Green are 5-7 in Ivy League play and are winners of three of their last four. They are just 4-9 on the road this season with the lone Ivy League road win coming against Brown.

Records: Penn leads 45-19 | Last Meeting: October 5 (Harvard, 3-0)

* The Quakers fell to Harvard on the road in the first meeting between the two squads this season. 

Previewing The Crimson
* The Crimson are fourth in the Ivy League standings with a 5-7 conference record after dropping two home contests last weekend to Yale and Brown.
