PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania's Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics (Penn Athletics) and AXIA Time have announced an exciting new partnership, which will kick off this weekend at the Penn men's basketball home opener vs. Rice on Friday at 8 p.m., and Saturday at the Homecoming football game vs. Harvard at 1 p.m.
Founded by Penn Lacrosse Hall of Fame inductee John Kanaras, AXIA Time creates Swiss Made automatic timepieces with designs that give priority to University branding. While Kanaras plans to tailor his watches to many universities across the country, he is starting with his roots at Penn and across the Ivy League.
As part of the sponsorship, AXIA Time will give away a watch at select home athletic events, beginning this Friday at The Palestra when men's basketball hosts Rice and then again on Saturday at Franklin Field for the Homecoming football game against Harvard. The goal of the partnership will be as much about raising awareness of the AXIA Time brand as it is about driving attendance at home games to help enhance the student-athlete experience.

The AXIA Time University Timepiece Sweepstakes (the "Promotion") begins at 09:00:00 AM Eastern Time ("ET") on November 5, 2018 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on June 30, 2019 (the "Promotion Period"). The Promotion contains a game of chance ("Sweepstakes"). The computer clock of the Sponsor (defined below) is the official time-keeping device in the Promotion.
ELIGIBILITY: The Promotion is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, except for Florida, New York and Rhode Island, who are at least 18 years of age or older as of date of entry. By participating, you agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. The Promotion is void in any state not listed above and where prohibited by law, rule or regulation.
HOW TO ENTER THE PROMOTION: Each home athletic event expressly designated by the Sponsor shall be an "Event" for purposes of this Promotion. To enter, fill out an entry card by hand and deposit it in the AXIA Time receptacle located as advertised on the University of Pennsylvania campus the day of the Event and/or inside the Event space (e.g., Franklin Field for football Events) during select home Penn Athletic games. An additional at-event entry per person will be permitted if that person creates a Social Media post on behalf of AXIA Time and executes it on at least one of his/her personal social media accounts. The entry period for each Event will begin the day of the Event start time and will end at the end of the first half of the Event (each an "Event Entry Period").
LIMIT OF ONE (1) PRE-EVENT ENTRY AND TWO AT-EVENT ENTRIES PER PERSON.
ODDS: The odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received during the applicable Event Entry Period for each respective Event. Non-winning entries from one Event will not be rolled over into the next Event.
WINNER SELECTION: Within approximately 15 minutes after the end of the Event Entry Period (each an "Event Draw Time"), a minimum of one (1) potential winner will be chosen by random drawing from all eligible entries received during the respective Event Entry Period and will be notified by text and email messages. The potential winner must claim the prize in person at the Event within 15 minutes of notification and forfeits the prize if he/she does not. WINNER NOTIFICATION: All winners will be notified via a text message from the Sponsor. Potential winners must be present to win and must claim the prize prior to the end of the Event. Any winner of a prize must complete an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release. All forms must be completed, signed, witnessed and returned to the Sponsor at the time the prize is awarded. Potential winner becomes the "Winner" only after verification of eligibility by Sponsor. If such potential winner is ineligible or if the potential winner otherwise fails to fully comply with these Official Rules, he/she will forfeit that prize and an alternate winner may be selected from among all remaining entries for that drawing.
PRIZE/PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: One (1) Promotion Prize will be awarded during each Event. The Promotion Prize will be Winner's choice of watches produced by AXIA Time and available as of the date of the Event.
The Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") of the Promotion Prize is up to $795.00.
GENERAL: In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures and other statements contained in any Promotion materials and the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall prevail, govern, and control. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. All decisions as to these Official Rules and interpretations thereof are exclusively within the sole discretion of the Promotion Parties and may be changed from time to time without notice. The Promotion Parties reserve the right to cancel or modify the Promotion at any time without notice. A potential winner may be requested to provide the Sponsor with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the winning Entry. If, in Sponsor's sole determination, a dispute cannot be resolved, the Entry will be deemed ineligible. Entries generated by a script, macro or other automated means will be disqualified. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, garbled, or corrupted are void and will not be accepted.
CONDUCT: The Promotion Parties reserve the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the participation process or the operation of the Promotion, or to be acting in any manner deemed by the Promotion Parties to be in violation of the Official Rules. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A USER, YOU OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE PROMOTION PARTIES RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS' FEES) FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: By entering in the Promotion, you agree to release and hold harmless the Promotional Parties, including but not limited to the Sponsor, and their subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from (i) an entrant's participation in the Promotion and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof, (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunctioning of any computer, cable, network, hardware or software; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions or telephone or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; (v) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries.
RELEASES: All participants, as a condition of participation in this Promotion, agree to release, hold harmless and indemnify the Promotion Parties from and against any and all liability, claims, damages, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons or property which may be sustained, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, in connection with (i) participation in any aspect of the Promotion, (ii) the receipt, ownership or use of the prize awarded, including any travel associated with any prize, (iii) participant's registration material on any related website, or (iv) any typographical or other error in these Official Rules.
CHOICE OF LAW AND JURISDICTION: Except where prohibited, you agree that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Promotion or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in the state of New Jersey. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, your rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsors in connection with the Promotion, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the state of New Jersey, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the state of New Jersey or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the state of New Jersey.
PRIVACY: By participating in the Promotion, you agree to receive email communications periodically from the Promotion Parties and you agree to all of the terms and conditions of the Sponsor's Privacy Policy, and University of Pennsylvania's Privacy Policy, which are available at https://axiatime.com/privacy-policy/, and http://www.upenn.edu/oacp/privacy/. In the event of any discrepancy between the Sponsor's or the University's Privacy Policy, and these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall control and govern.
