PHILADELPHIA - Penn Athletics is proud to introduce game day enhancements for Penn students at men's and women's basketball games. The enhancements will make their debut during the men's and women's basketball Ivy League doubleheaders this Friday and Saturday at the Palestra. On Friday, the defending Ivy League champion women's basketball team hosts Cornell at 5:30 p.m. followed by the men taking on the Big Red at 8 p.m. On Saturday, the women host Columbia at 4:30 p.m. followed by the men at 7 p.m.
 
The men's basketball team is off to its best overall start since 2005-06, including a win last Saturday over archrival Princeton to open Ivy League play. The women's team is looking to capture its fourth Ivy League title in the past five seasons this winter. Start the semester by helping the Quakers beat their Ivy foes!
 
Admission and Entry
A new and improved student ticketing policy has been implemented. The first 250 students at men's basketball games will get free admission! Tickets should be claimed through the Penn Student Ticket Portal in advance by clicking here. Students can also show their Penn ID at the student entrance on the day of the game to get a free ticket (while supplies last). Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis in the Wahoo's Student Section: Sections 120 and 220. If you forget your claimed ticket on game day, simply show your Penn ID card at the game to get your ticket reprinted.
 
Penn students have a dedicated entrance on game day! Avoid lines and head straight into the Wahoo's Student Section. The student entrance is through the doors farthest to the right at the main entrance to the Palestra.
 
Red & Blue Bash
Free food, free admission and more! All Penn students are invited to join the Red and Blue Crew at the Red and Blue Bash prior to the men's basketball game against Saint Joseph's on January 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the David Micahnik Fencing Center, located on the second floor of the Tse Center (adjacent to the Palestra). Students can enjoy a live DJ, free food*, competitions, games, prizes and more. Alcohol will be available for purchase for students who are over the age of 21.
 
STUDENT GROUP ENGAGEMENT
Penn Campus Rec Night – 1/12 vs. Cornell
Intramural champions will be recognized during the game, and students wearing their campus rec gear will be given the opportunity to participate in on-court promotions.
 
Work in Sports Day – 1/20 vs. Temple
All students who are interested in a career in sports are welcome! Join us for a special pregame networking event that includes a networking lunch and panel discussion with industry professionals.  Space is limited. To purchase a ticket, click here and enter promo code WISD18.
 
Greek Life Night – 1/27 vs. Saint Joseph's
In conjunction with the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, fraternities and sororities will have the opportunity to compete in on-court promotions. The chapter with the highest percentage of its members in attendance will win a prize.
 
Feb Club – 2/3 vs. Yale
In conjunction with Feb Club, seniors can enjoy free food while cheering on the Quakers team when they take on the Bulldogs (while supplies last).
 
Group Performances
Student groups will like the Penn Hype Dance Crew and Quaker Girls will be performing during halftime of select men's and women's games.
