*Sunday's contest against Villanova marks the first marketing event of the season and will feature Penn's "Believe in Brynn" game. The match will bring awareness to Rett Syndrome on behalf of Brynn Connor, the daughter of head coach Colleen Fink's college classmate at Saint Joseph's, Kristen Connor. Rett Syndrome is a rare genetic development disorder that affects the way the brain develops and is found almost exclusively in girls.

*The Blue Hens are currently ranked sixth in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) weekly poll and come into the contest with a 3-1 overall mark. Delaware has already claimed two wins over Ivy League competition against Princeton and Dartmouth to start the season.

*The Quakers begin City 6 competition this weekend when they host Villanova for the 34th time in program history. Penn has won the last five meetings against the Wildcats dating back to 2012 and have outscored VU by a 16-10 margin during that span.

*Villanova comes into the contest looking for their first win of the 2017 season, but three of their four losses have come by just a one goal margin. Penn posted a 6-4 victory over Villanova in 2016 on the road.
