CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The University of Pennsylvania field hockey team (4-5, 1-1) suffered a 6-0 setback to No. 14 Harvard (8-2, 2-0) on Saturday as part of Ivy League action. With the defeat, Penn moves to 4-5 overall on the season and 1-1 in conference play while Harvard improved to 8-2 overall and 2-0 in the Ancient Eight.
Harvard started off strong and notched their first score in the eighth minute from Maddie Earle on a tip from the nearside. Kathleen Young gave the Crimson the 2-0 advantage just over 10 minutes later, while tallies from Ellie Cookson and Mimi Tarrant put the hosts up 4-0 before the end of the half.
The Quakers saw possession in their attacking end, but had trouble penetrating through the Harvard defense in the match. Coming out of intermission, Bente va Vlijmen connected on a penalty corner to increase Harvard's lead to 5-0.

th minute to quell a Crimson fastbreak, but Harvard continued to pressure. The hosts tallied their final goal in the 62
nd minute from Emily Ott as they secured the 6-0 victory.
Penn returns to action a week from today when they host Dartmouth back in Philadelphia at Ellen Vagelos Field. Game time is slated for noon.
