PREVIEWING PENN
*The Quakers are entering Wednesday's game on a high note, having just earned their first win of the season against 2016 Sweet 16 qualifier SIUE. Penn was paced offensively by a goal each from Joe Swenson and Jake Kohlbrenner, while the backline and goalkeeper Etan Mabourakh staved off a vicious attack from the Cougars in the final minutes.

*Kohlbrenner was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week for his effort against SIUE. After earning his first career start, the freshman netted the first goal of his career in the 27th minute to extend Penn's advantage to 2-0.

*Mabourakh's effort did not go unnoticed, as the junior garnered Philadelphia Soccer Six Defender of the Week honors after collecting nine saves against the Cougars. The clean sheet was the third of his career.

*Defender and senior captain Sam Wancowicz leads the Red and Blue with eight shots this season, while Swenson leads the way with four points on two goals. All four of Swenson's shots this fall have been on goal.

*Both Wancowicz and junior defender Erumuse Momoh have played all 450 minutes of game action this year.

NEWS AND NOTES: LA SALLE
*Like Penn, the Explorers opened up the year losing four-straight games but have found success of late, winning their last two contests to own a 2-4 overall record. Last week, La Salle took down both Saint Peter's and Lafayette, scoring two goals in each game.

*The Quakers own an overwhelming advantage in the all-time series against La Salle, sporting a 29-3-8 mark against their City Six foes. In his time at Penn, James C. Gentle Head Coach Rudy Fuller boasts a 5-1-3 record vs. the Explorers, with wins in their last three meetings.

*The opposing sideline will feature a familiar face for Penn Soccer fans, as the Explorers are led by former Quaker assistant coach Rob Irvine. Irvine is in his second season at La Salle after spending time on staff for Coach Fuller from 2006-14.

*La Salle is led by Matt Robinson with nine points on the season with three goals and three assists. Soji Olatoye is not far behind with six points this fall, while Kenny Lassiter boasts four points on two goals. In the cage, La Salle has split duty evenly between Mark Tobin and Cameron Keys who both have played in three games. Tobin shared Soccer Six Co-Defender of the Week accolades with Penn's Mabourakh this week.
