PHILADELPHIA - Set to round out a four-game home swing, the University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team will host Lehigh on Thursday, Sept. 14 before squaring off against SIUE on Sunday, Sept. 17. Both contests will take place at Rhodes Field.

PREVIEWING PENN
*The Quakers got their first goal of the season last time out against Seton Hall, as
Joe Swenson converted a deflection into the back of the net to give Penn a brief 1-0 lead over the Pirates before the visitors equalized the match in the next minute.
*Swenson tallied his first two shots of the season against The Hall, with both of them on goal. The goal scored was assisted by
Aramis Kouzine.

Etan Mabourakh started his first game in goal against SHU after making 15 starts between the pipes in 2016. The junior gave up two scores in the 2-1 loss but made three saves in addition to an acrobatic save wiped away due to an offsides call.
*Both
Wes Maki and
Jake Kohlbrenner appeared for a career-high 69 minutes against Seton Hall, entering for key spells of the game on the wing.
*A quartet of Quakers have played all 270 minutes of game time this season in

NEWS AND NOTES: LEHIGH
*The Mountain Hawks enter Thursday's matchup with an even .500 record of 2-2. They have defeated both Rider and Ivy League foe Cornell, while dropping decisions to George Washington and Ohio State. Most recently Lehigh took down the Big Red in Ithaca in come-from-behind fashion, 2-1.
*Penn leads the all-time series against Lehigh by a margin of 29-13-4, however, the last two times the sides have met have resulted in a draw, including last season. The Quakers visited Bethlehem in 2016, earning a 1-1 result after current senior captain
Austin Kuhn knotted up the contest in the 86th minute.
*Mark Forrest leads Lehigh with nine points on four goals and an assist on the year. Only one other Mountain Hawk has scored this season. Will Smith has spent all four games in goal, having given up six goals.
NEWS AND NOTES: SIUE
*The Cougars own a 2-3 overall record headed into the weekend are set for a contest against Ivy League opponent Princeton on Friday prior to their battle with Penn. SIUE is coming off a Sweet 16 appearance in 2016 by virtue of winning the MVC Tournament Championship. SIUE moved to the Mid-American Conference this season and was picked to finish second in the league.
*SIUE opened the year 0-3 after dropping three-straight one-goal contests. Since then, the Cougars have won two straight against Memphis and Valparaiso.
*The Quakers and Cougars have never met on the soccer field before, but Penn owns a 1-4 record against teams in the current alignment of the MAC.
*Sophomore Lachlan McLean leads the way for SIUE with eight points on four goals. Eric Tejada has been the primary assist-man with three, while netminder Kyle Dal Santo has played all 453:35 minutes for the Cougars with two shutouts and nine saves.
