PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania’s men’s tennis team returns home this weekend for matches against Dartmouth and Harvard. The Big Green will visit on Saturday before the Crimson come to town on Sunday. Both matches are set for 1 p.m.

About Penn
*The Quakers stand at 14-9 overall this season, and 1-3 in the Ivy League after a split last weekend at Brown and Yale. Penn earned its first Ivy win last Saturday with a 4-3 triumph over the Bears in Providence.

*Kyle Mautner provided the clinching point for the Red and Blue against Brown. The sophomore registered a 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 win over Jack Haworth. Although Mautner fell to Yale’s No. 62 Tyler Lu on Saturday, he is still a solid 13-6 atop Penn’s lineup this season.

*Josh Pompan continued his outstanding season with two more singles wins last weekend. After notching triumphs over Brown’s Lucas Da Silveira and Yale’s Ziqi Wang—both in the No. 2 slot—he is now 16-3 this season. If you include the fall, Pompan holds a singles mark of 30-7 during the 2016-17 season.

*Marshall Sharp (No. 6) and Max Cancilla (No. 5) joined Mautner and Pompan with wins against the Bears. Cancilla is 12-6 in singles play this season.

*The Quakers have yet to earn the doubles point in their four Ivy matches. Josh Pompan and Thomas Spratt earned the only doubles victory last weekend against Yale.

*Penn’s 14 wins this season are the most by the Quakers since 2008.
*Sunday's match will mark the final home contest for Penn's four seniors, Matt Nardella, Marshall Sharp, Dan Harris, and Thomas Spratt. 

Scouting the Big Green
*Dartmouth is 10-13 and 2-3 in the Ivy League this season. The Big Green own conference triumphs over Yale and Brown. Most recently, Dartmouth lost 4-2 to No. 26 Cornell and 4-1 to No. 23 Columbia.

*Charlie Broom, who was ranked No. 96 prior to last weekend, is the Big Green’s top singles player. Broom played No. 4 singles when the Quakers played Dartmouth earlier this season.

*The Quakers lost to Dartmouth earlier this season in the ECAC Tournament. Mautner posted Penn’s lone point with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Ciro Riccardi at No. 1 singles.

Scouting the Crimson
*Harvard (16-9, 4-1 Ivy) currently sits in a three-way tie atop the Ivy League standings with Cornell and Columbia. The Crimson snapped Columbia’s 28-match Ivy winning streak with a 4-2 triumph on April 15.

*Harvard's No. 1 doubles team of Kenny Tao and senior Brian Yeung are slotted No. 66 in the latest ITA rankings. Tao was also ranked in singles play, checking in at No. 121 in the country.

*Penn picked up a 4-2 win over Harvard earlier this season in the ECAC Tournament. The Quakers won a pair of tiebreakers to record the doubles point while Mautner, Pompan and Sharp won in singles.
