CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team traveled to Virginia this weekend to take part in the Orange and Blue Classic. The event featured the host Cavaliers, as well as Duke, VCU, Georgetown, and Virginia Tech.

Friday saw the Quakers take on Duke for the majority of the day outside of a lone singles match against VCU. The Quakers went 1-1 in doubles play, while going 3-1 in singles play.

Saturday was a sole matchup against the Cavaliers with Penn going 0-2 in doubles and 1-3 in singles play. Saturday saw the highlight of the weekend, when #117 ranked Manfredi Graziani took down #9 Dylan Dietrich. Graziani is off to a great start backing up his All-Ivy selection from the conclusion of the previous season.

The final day, Sunday, saw the Quakers take on Georgetown. The Quakers went 0-1 in doubles play but rounded out the weekend with a perfect 3-0 record in singles play.

Highly touted freshmen Vojtech Vales and Nischal Spurling both made their debuts with the Red and Blue this weekend, with both securing their first wins as Quakers across the weekend.
