NEW YORK, N.Y. – No. 10 Penn took care of business at Columbia, taming the Lions in fine fashion to the tune of a 17-7 win in Morningside Heights.
With the win, Penn improved to 10-2 overall and 3-1 in the Ivy League.
Emily Rogers-Healion led the way for Penn on offense, scoring a career-high five goals and finishing with six points.
Seven different players had a point for the Red and Blue. In addition to Rogers-Healion's six points, freshman
Gabby Rosenzweig had a memorable day – she finished with a career-best four goals and five points.
Alex Condon had two goals, as did
Natalie Stefan, with
Sarah Barcia adding Penn's other goal.
Penn's 17 goals against the Lions matched the 17 goals scored by the Quakers last time out against Dartmouth. The 34 goals scored by the Quakers over their last two games set a new Penn record for gals in consecutive Ivy League games and are the most since 1981 when Penn scored 35 in back-to-back wins over Cornell and Lafayette.
The Quakers outshot the Lions, 39-21, and had a 15-10 edge on draw controls.
In addition to her six points, Rogers-Healion added a team-high four ground balls.
Megan Kelly, Rosenzweig and Stefan each had three.
How It Happened…
• 40 seconds later, Rosenzweig called her own number, firing on the fly to give Penn a 2-0 lead.
• Lindsey Ewersten got Columbia on the board 5:16 into the game and cut Penn's lead to 2-1.
• The Lions would tie the game, 2-2, with a free position goal from Laine Parsons 9:04 into the game.
• Columbia would take a 3-2 lead just nine seconds later when Sara Ruzzi took a Quinn pass off the draw and scored.
• Penn knotted the game back up, 3-3, when Cummings scored her second of the game 10:13 into the game.

Emily Rogers-Healion went back-to-back in a span of 1:03 to give Penn a 5-3 lead. Her second goal was a quick rebound score off a Condon shot while Penn was on the man-up.
• The Lions climbed within one off a Kalamaras goal from right in front with 11:47 to play in the first half.

Alex Condon netted a goal for the Quakers with 8:35 left in the first half, showing off quick stick skills in tight to finish a Barry pass.
• Rosenzweig would cap the first half scoring for Penn and open the second half scoring, giving Penn an 8-5 lead.
• Condon would score just before the expiration of the shot clock to give Penn a 9-5 lead just under five minutes into the second half.

Gabby Rosenzweig upped her goal total to four with a nifty dodge from behind the goal to give Penn a 10-5 lead.
• Taylor Quinn got one back for the Lions with her second of the game 5:40 into the second half.

Natalie Stefan stormed down the left side and fired far post to give Penn an 11-6 lead with 19:44 to play.
• Cummings earned her hat trick with a diving goal just before the midway point of the second half to give Penn a 12-6 lead.
• A bad Columbia turnover on the clear led to a 13-6 Penn lead as Rogers-Healion picked off the keeper and was all alone to score on the breakaway.
• The Lions answered 48 seconds later off a Kalamaras goal to cut Penn's lead to 13-7 with 12:28 to play.
• Rogers-Healion scored her fourth goal of the game to give Penn a 14-7 lead with 10:23 to play, calling her own number from behind the net and charging by her defender 1v1 for the score.
• Penn would add three more down the stretch, goal from Rogers-Healion, Barcia and Stefan for a 17-7 final.
The Quakers return to Franklin Field on April 19, hosting No. 7 Princeton at 7 p.m.
