Women's Basketball Concludes Regular Season vs. Princeton Tuesday

PHILADELPHIA – With the Ivy League Tournament teams and seeds already determined, the University of Pennsylvania (19-7, 12-1) still has one game left to play in the regular season when they host Princeton (15-11, 9-4) on Tuesday, March 7. Game time is slated for 7 p.m. at The Palestra.

The Quakers pulled away for a 62-57 victory in the first meeting of the 2016-17 season as Penn posted their third-straight victory over Princeton in as many games. Michelle Nwokedi led the way for the Quakers with 13 points and 13 rebounds while Sydney Stipanovich (10pts, 4rbs) and Anna Ross (11pts, 1reb, 4a) each put up double digits on the snowy day in New Jersey. Kasey Chambers also provided seven points, three boards and a career-high eight assists while the Quakers shot 40.7% (24-of-59) from the field in the victory.

For the first time in program history, the University of Pennsylvania called themselves back-to-back Ivy League Champions following their 64-46 win over Harvard. With the victory, Penn has assured themselves the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Ivy League tournament.

The championship is the third in four years for the Red and Blue under the guidance of head coach Mike McLaughlin, who also became the all-time winningest coach in Quaker history.
