PHILADELPHIA – For the fourth time in the early stages of the 2017 season, No. 11 Penn prepares for a Top-20 opponent – this time the No. 1 team in the country as the Quakers head to Maryland on March 22.
Penn is 2-1 against Top-20 opponents this season, and enter the week fresh off a 16-6 dismantling of No. 16 Duke at Franklin Field on Saturday. Overall, the Quakers are 7-1 this season and have won three consecutive games.
The Terps are 7-0 overall this season, and moved to No. 1 in the country after a 13-10 win over then-No. 1 North Carolina on February 25.
