HepsTrack.com Release
PHILADELPHIA - After a successful weekend in New York, three Quakers from the University of Pennsylvania men's and women's track and field teams were honored by HepsTrack.com. Senior Chris Hatler was named Co-Athlete of the Week, while freshmen Breanne Bygrave and Mikayla Schneider shared Rookie of the Week honors.
Hatler competed individually at the Armory Invitational in Harlem, placing third in the mile run with a personal best time of 4:00.50. His time ranks No. 2 in Penn history and is currently 20th in the nation this season.Â
Bygrave improved upon her school record time in the 60-meter hurdles, a record she broke just a week earlier. The freshman notched a blistering time of 8.40 seconds, which ranks as No. 2 all-time in the Ivy League and the fastest time ever at the Ocean Breeze Complex.
Schneider competed in the 800-meter run, clocking a time of 2:08.02, good for No. 3 all-time in the Penn record books and top-10 among all freshman in the country.
The Red and Blue return to the Ocean Breeze Complex this weekend for the FasTrack National Invite beginning on Friday.
