With the inaugural Ivy League Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments only weeks away on March 11-12, Penn Athletics wanted to announce ticket information. The Ivy League has allotted a certain number of tickets for each qualifying team to sell.
*Each team that qualifies will receive 177 tickets (25 chairback and 152 upper level sideline) to sell for Saturday. If a school has both men’s and women’s teams qualify, all numbers will be doubled (354 tickets, 50 chairback, 304 upper level sideline).
*Each team that wins on Saturday will receive 202 tickets (50 chairback and 152 upper level sideline) to sell for Sunday. If a school has both men’s and women’s teams advance to the finals, all numbers will be doubled (404 tickets, 100 chairback, 304 upper level).
*Seating locations will be based on seed.
Penn Athletics will utilize a priority system in selling its allotment. Priority will be as follows:
1. Above the Rim Club member
2. R. Tait McKenzie Society member
3. Non-Above the Rim Club donors to Basketball
4. Non-R. Tait McKenzie Society donor to Athletics
5. Season ticket holder
6. Penn Alumni
Postseason ticket applications will be emailed to Penn Champions Club donors and basketball season ticket holders on Tuesday, February 7. Penn Alumni who are not a Penn Athletics donor or season ticket holder can call the Penn ticket office at 215-898-6151.
Each institution also will receive 247 student tickets to sell, but those tickets will only be valid for the student’s team. For example, Penn students will be able to use their ticket for Penn’s game, but must exit their seat for games not involving Penn.
General Public tickets also are available for individuals who want to guarantee a seat for the tournament. All-Session Tournament Books will be available to purchase at IvyMadness.com and include all six tournament games (schedule below).
