Men's Basketball Travels to Monmouth on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's basketball team is back in Philadelphia, and after playing three games in three days in Florida the Quakers had a full two-day rest before making the day trip to Monmouth on Saturday. The Quakers and Hawks will tip off at 7 p.m.

THE SERIES
• This will mark the eighth meeting between the Quakers and the Hawks in men's basketball, with Penn holding a 5-2 lead in the series.
 
• The most recent meeting took place January 21, 2015 at The Palestra in Philadelphia, with Monmouth rolling to a 71-56 victory.
 
• The last time these two teams met in West Long Branch was November 12, 2013, Penn escaping with a 79-73 win.
 
• This is Penn's fourth visit to Monmouth; the Quakers also won here in the 2007-08 season, and lost in the 2009-10 season.
 
• The first meeting between these teams took place January 18, 2003 at the Asbury Park Convention Center; Penn won that game, 98-54.

Penn is 25-18 all-time against programs currently in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, having already lost at Fairfield 80-72 to open this season.
