How It Happened
The first half was defined by runs on both sides, but the most dominant was an 11-0 streak by Penn that turned a tie game into a 26-15 advantage. CCSU chipped away after that, though, and got as close as four points before
Max Rothschild hit a baby hook at the halftime buzzer to send the Quakers to the locker room up, 35-29.
Penn's first four field goals in the second half were all three-pointers, two of them from Wood. CCSU answered three of them, but the fourth set the Quakers off on an 11-0 run that pushed their lead from eight (44-36) to 19 (55-36). CCSU never got closer than 14 points. Penn hit eight of its first 11 three-point attempts in the period, and led by as many as 29 with just under four minutes left in the game (83-54).
