Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Blanks Harvard, 1-0

Box Score

Philadelphia ? Sophomore Andy Howard's first goal of the season came just at the right moment as he helped the University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team snap a six-game skid with a 1-0 victory over Harvard this afternoon on Senior Day.

"It wasn't a pretty but we were very happy to send the seniors off with a win," Head Coach Rudy Fuller said. "They have accomplished a lot over the past four years and we are sad to see them go."

The lone goal of the game came just 9:13 into the contest as Howard knocked down a direct kick by senior Josh Duyan and blasted it by Harvard (9-7-1, 3-3-1 Ivy League). The Crimson had their opportunities to score, taking nine shots, but sophomore keeper Daniel Cepero made key stops. Both teams had nine shots apiece, while Harvard held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.
