Sean Durant joined JMI Sports in July 2024 as an Account Executive, Key Partnerships, and was promoted to Senior Account Executive, Partnerships for Penn Sports Properties in July 2026. In his current role, Durant manages corporate partnerships across Penn Athletics, the historic Penn Relays, and Penn Campus Recreation. He works closely with partners to develop strategic sponsorship opportunities, execute impactful brand activations, and create meaningful experiences that connect brands, athletes, and fans.
Before joining JMI Sports, Durant served as a Sponsorship Sales Account Executive with The Gazelle Group in Princeton, New Jersey, where he developed partnerships for nationally recognized college basketball and hockey events. He also gained valuable experience with Penn State Athletics, supporting marketing and promotions efforts across more than 30 Division I programs, as well as additional roles in sports operations, event management, and business development with organizations including Field Lining and Painting Services LLC, Nittany Valley Sports Centre, and Pattison Sports Group & Victory Event Series.
A West Chester, Pennsylvania native, Durant graduated from Penn State University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management, a minor in Sports Studies, and a certificate in Meeting and Event Management.Â
Outside of work, Durant is passionate about community engagement and giving back. He has also been actively involved with local non-profits, youth sports initiatives, and various community-focused events throughout his career.
Durant currently resides in the Philadelphia area and is proud to be part of the Penn Sports Properties team, helping connect brands with one of the most historic athletic programs and events in the country while continuing to build relationships and create positive experiences through the power of sports.
