Melissa Alves C'18 was named men's and women's squash volunteer assistant coach in May 2023.

Alves had a distinguished career with the Quakers, leading the Red and Blue to two runner-up finishes in the Howe Cup, earning first-team All-Ivy selection as a junior and senior, as well as first-team All-America distinction as a senior.
 
Alves has pursued a professional career since graduation, winning the Monte Carlo Classic in December 2022 and has climbed as high as #19 in the PSA World Squash Rankings as of May 2023.
