Erik joined the Penn Campus Recreation team in February of 2025 as the Assistant Director of Member Services and Outreach. In 2026, he was promoted to Associate Director, Operations. In this role, Erik oversees facility operations, membership services, membership systems, and marketing strategies, including front-line service delivery, access control, staffing models, and operational standards. Prior to Penn, Erik held various roles within the Campus Recreation industry at the University of Louisiana, Rowan University, and Temple University. Those roles have helped Erik become a well-rounded professional, a servant leader, and cultivate a passion for working with college students.
Erik received a Bachelor of Science in Sport & Recreation Management from East Texas A&M University. Soon after, he received a Master's Degree in Health Promotion, Recreation& Sport Management from the University of Louisiana. Before committing to a career in Higher Education, Erik pursued Music Education, regularly rehearsing, performing, and learning pedagogy.
Outside of work, Erik enjoys board games, hiking, camping, beach volleyball, cooking, tending to house plants, and spending time with his wife and two dogs.
