University of Pennsylvania Athletics

Emma joined Penn Athletics in August 2022 as a Coordinator in the Center for Student-Athlete Success and was named Assistant Director in June 2024. Emma provides academic support to six teams — Field Hockey, Gymnastics, Men’s & Women’s Squash, and Men’s & Women’s Swimming & Diving. She also oversees and coordinates all civic engagement initiatives and opportunities for the athletic department. Additionally, Emma assists with the execution of student-athlete events to include the Welcome Back BBQ, National Student-Athlete Day & the Quaker Choice Awards. She serves as the advisor to the Penn student-athlete chapter of Athlete Ally.

Originally from Central Virginia, near Charlottesville, Emma graduated from James Madison University in May 2020 with a Bachelor’s in Communications, accompanied by a sport communication minor. 

She interned with Georgetown Athletics the 2020-21 academic year before interning with Villanova Athletics as their community outreach intern for the 2021-22 academic year.

She’s one of the few Washington Commanders fans in the department, holding strong among the Eagles-crazed environment!
