Emily Jakimowicz returned to Penn as the Assistant AD/Marketing and Digital Strategy at the University of Pennsylvania in August 2024. Jakimowicz started her career at Penn Athletics, serving six years in progressive roles in marketing and creative services.

Prior to her return to University City, Jakimowicz served as the Assistant AD, Digital Media at the University of California, Berkeley. While at Cal, Jakimowicz led the department's digital media efforts, including oversight of social media accounts, email communication, digital advertising and CalBears.com. She managed all official Cal Athletics social media accounts, capturing and producing engaging and trending content. In addition, she oversaw the day-to-day performance of the official mobile and fan loyalty apps at Cal, as well as short- and long-term digital advertising campaigns. Jakimowicz also led the digital strategy for athletics-wide campaigns for the 100th Anniversary of California Memorial Stadium and the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The Philadelphia native spent the previous year at Saint Joseph's as the Director of Marketing & Fan Experience. She led the department's marketing, game presentation and creative efforts while elevating the SJU brand. In addition to providing creative support and season long graphic packages, she collaborated with the ticket sales and operations teams to establish themes, programs and promotions to increase attendance and revenue.

Jakimowicz began her career in 2015 as a Marketing Assistant at Penn, before being promoted after one year to Marketing Coordinator. Two years later, she was promoted to Assistant Director of Marketing from 2017-19 and then concluded her original stint at Penn as Associate Director, Marketing & Creative Services from 2019-21 before moving across town to Saint Joseph's.

She earned her bachelor's degree from Temple in 2015 and a master's in sport business in 2022.
