Emily Galvin

Emily Galvin is an Assistant AD for Student-Athlete Success in the Pottruck Center for Student-Athlete Success. In this role, she oversees the Center's student-development programming for all of Penn's student-athletes, including professional development, personal development, and civic engagement. Further, she is the academic liaison for several of Penn’s teams, including Men’s and Women’s Fencing, Sprint Football, Women’s Crew, Heavyweight Rowing, Lightweight Rowing, Volleyball, and Wrestling. Emily is also the staff representative for the International Student-Athlete Group.

Prior to Penn, Emily spent six years in private practice as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant, working with teams and individual athletes from the elite youth to professional level. Before that, Emily was the Assistant Director of Sport Psychology for the Philadelphia Union Academy and YSC Sports in Wayne, PA. Emily has also been an adjunct professor at Chestnut Hill College and Immaculata University teaching Introduction to Sport Psychology.

Emily has a master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology from Miami University of Ohio and a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. She also holds a credential as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant through the Association of Applied Sport Psychology.
