University of Pennsylvania Athletics

Dinesh Nithyanandan

Dinesh Nithyanandan joined the University of Pennsylvania Athletics staff as a Quaker Fellow in Facilities. In his role, Dinesh supports the day-to-day operations and management of Penn’s athletic venues, helping to ensure a premier environment for student-athletes, coaching staff, and the broader campus community.

This fellowship marks a continuation of Dinesh’s strong bond with Penn Athletics, having previously served for a year as an Equipment Operations Intern. During that time, he became
deeply integrated into the Quaker community and gained invaluable behind the scenes experience in collegiate athletic operations, which ultimately paved the way for his current
opportunity in Facilities.

Dinesh comes to Penn after earning his Master of Science in Sport Business from Temple University’s School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management. Prior to his graduate studies in the United States, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Sports and Exercise Science from the Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research.

While pursuing his master's degree, Dinesh worked in Campus Recreation at Temple University, where he gained practical, hands-on experience in collegiate athletic programming, student engagement, and facility operations. Combining his foundation in sports science with his expertise in sports business, he is deeply passionate about advancing his career within the intercollegiate athletics and recreation fields.
