Alexa Gasser has been an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Penn since June 2022, joining the staff full-time after taking part in the Division’s Fellowship in Athletic Training II in the winter and spring of 2022.
Gasser came to University City from Rowan, where she played volleyball from 2017-20. In the fall of 2021, she did a Fellowship in Athletic Training I with the Profs’ football program, and she also did a Residency in Athletic Training II in the fall 2020. Gasser also did residencies with Reconstructive Orthopedics Pitman/Sewell and Delsea Regional High School in Franklinville, N.J., and St. Augustine Prep in Richland, N.J.
A native of Broomall, Pa., Gasser graduated Rowan with undergraduate and master’s degrees in Athletic Training. She was a Dean’s List student, a Rowan Scholar Athlete, and received New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) All-Academic recognition.
Gasser has been a National Athletic Trainer Association (NATA) member since 2018 and earned her Board Certification in 2022. She is also certified American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid.
