Cory Miller joined the University of Pennsylvania Athletics staff as an Athletics Communications Assistant in August 2026. In his role, Miller serves as the primary communications contact for women’s soccer, men's and women's squash, baseball, and men’s tennis.
Miller returned to Penn after graduating from Syracuse University in May 2026, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast & Digital Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and a minor in History. During his four years at Syracuse, Miller worked with Syracuse Athletics as a Digital Content Host. He also worked with WAER and Z89 Radio, covering Syracuse athletics through play-by-play broadcasting, reporting, production, writing, and social media.
Prior to returning to Penn, Miller interned with Penn Athletics during the summer of 2024. He assisted with athletics communications and administration.
Alongside his work in athletics communications and digital content, Miller has extensive experience in sports broadcasting, calling games across several collegiate sports at the division one level. He served as a play-by-play broadcaster for the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League in 2025, calling radio and television broadcasts, hosting pregame and postgame shows, and leading media relations. In May, Miller was named a Second Team All-American for the 2026 Jim Nantz Award, recognizing him among the top 12 collegiate broadcasters in the country.
A Philadelphia-area native, Miller resides in Blue Bell, Pa.
