SPORTS: Women's Basketball, Heavyweight Rowing, M/W Track & Field
Sierra Bond joined the Penn Athletics strength and conditioning staff in September 2026 after gaining experience across multiple NCAA Division I and Division III programs, with an emphasis on strength and conditioning, sports science, athlete monitoring and return-to-play programming.
Bond most recently served as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Springfield College, where she was the head strength and conditioning coach for women’s soccer and men’s gymnastics and assisted with track and field. She also served as Head of Sports Science, utilizing GPS tracking, force plates and performance dashboards to monitor athlete development, key performance indicators and return-to-play progress. During her tenure, she worked with eight USAG All-Americans and a team that qualified for the NCAA Division I Championships, as well as three NCAA Track and Field qualifiers and two All-Americans.
Prior to Springfield, Bond spent time at Arizona State University, assisting with strength and conditioning for men’s and women’s basketball, wrestling, softball, baseball, track and field and professional athletes. She also gained experience with the University of Connecticut football program, where she coached multiple position groups, led speed and movement sessions, assisted with return-to-play programming and utilized GPS, force plates and other performance technologies.
Bond began her collegiate strength and conditioning career at the College of the Holy Cross, where she served as the strength and conditioning coach for men’s rowing and previously interned with multiple varsity programs.
A 2024 graduate of Springfield College, Bond earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Exercise Science with a minor in Coaching. She completed her Master of Science in Strength and Conditioning from Springfield in 2026. Bond is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), USA Weightlifting Level 1 coach and Functional Movement Screen Level 1 practitioner. She was a track and field student-athlete during her undergraduate days at Springfield.
