Ivana Shah joined the University of Pennsylvania men's golf program as a volunteer assistant coach in August 2026.
In addition to her role on the Quakers’ coaching staff, Shah has been working as a clinical account specialist for Johnson & Johnson MedTech since August 2023. She’s also a co-founder of Call To Action, a volunteer organization aimed at being the bridge between eager volunteers and non-profits in the Akron area. Shah founded the organization in October 2020 with Noah Alfman when she was a student-athlete at the University of Akron.
Shah competed on Akron’s women’s golf team from 2018 to 2022 and was a four-time Women’s Collegiate Golf Association (WCGA) All-American Scholar. Her academic success translated onto the golf course, earning four Academic All-Mid American Conference (MAC) Team honors and an All-MAC Tournament Team selection in 2021. The Akron, Ohio native earned two MAC Player of the Week laurels, and she served as the Community Service and Outreach Chair for the Student-Athlete Executive Advisory Committee. She also served as the Undergraduate Student Government Student-Athlete Liaison during her time as a Zip.
Shah was the recipient of numerous awards throughout her collegiate career, including being named a Top 30 honoree for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award, which recognizes female student-athletes who have completed their undergraduate studies and have demonstrated excellence in academics, athletics, community service and leadership. Selected from a pool of 225,000 student-athletes, the Top 30 field features 10 women from each NCAA division.
Her other accolades include the Dinah Shore Trophy Award, the MAC Medal of Excellence, the Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Award, and the Hunter Award.
In 2022, Shah graduated from Akron with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering.
