Sarah Parks W'19 was named the Director of Men’s Basketball Operations in June 2019 after spending more than three years as a student manager with the program.
As an undergraduate student manager with men’s basketball, Parks traveled with the Quakers to the NCAA Tournament in March 2018 and the team’s foreign trip to Italy in May 2018. She also spent her senior fall semester studying in Madrid, Spain. As a manager, Parks was looked to as a strong leader. She prepared the work schedules for each manager during her senior year, trained new managers to be fully contributing members of the staff, and assisted then-Director of Operations Brad Fadem in preparing for road trips.
Parks also committed herself to being a valuable member of the athletic department. She founded Shades of DRIA, a group dedicated to the Division's Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) community. Shades of DRIA meets every other week with the goal toward building community and providing support. Parks also has been involved in a number of hiring committees during her short time on staff.
A basketball player in her own right, Parks played for the women’s club basketball team as an undergraduate at Penn and served as the club’s President for more than two years.
Parks graduated cum laude from Penn’s Wharton School of Business with a degree in finance and management and obtained a minor in Hispanic studies. She also recently completed her Master's degree in Organizational Dynamics at Penn.
