Penn Rowing has a long and storied connection with the Olympic Games, starting in 1924 when Sydney Carter Jelinek won a bronze medal for the United States in the Fours. Most recently, Regina Salmons C'18 represented the United States in the Women's Varsity Eight while Dara Alizadeh C'15 rowed for Bermuda in the Men's Single Sculls at the 2020 Olympic Games that (due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic) took place in the summer of 2021 in Tokyo, Japan.
