NALITT FAMILY GYMNASTICS CENTER

Dedicated in November 2013, the Nalitt Family Gymnastics Center is located on the second floor of the Tse Sports Center and serves as the training center for the University of Pennsylvania’s women’s gymnastics program. The state-of-the-art facility features space for four balance beams, two vaulting runways, three sets of uneven bars, a trench-channel single bar, a full floor routine mat and a tumbling strip. Additionally, loose foam training pits and in-ground rezi pits allow athletes to work on elements for all events. The Center also includes a team room and office space for members of the coaching staff.

The facility was made possible as the result of a generous gift from former Penn gymnast Beth (Wasserstein) Nalitt, M.D. and her family. Dr. Nalitt was a member of the Penn gymnastics team from 1976-79. The facility was part of a $27.2 million, 98,000-square-foot renovation of the existing Hutchinson Gymnasium. The project is certified as LEED Gold.
