JAMES F. "ACE" ADAMS FIELD

Located in the north east corner of Penn Park, James F. "Ace" Adams Field features Field Turf with inlaid lines designed to accommodate soccer, men's and women's lacrosse, and field hockey. The field is equipped with perimeter fencing, end-zone netting and  lights for night activity. While mainly utilized as a practice facility, the field is designed for both recreational and intercollegiate competition. Ace Adams Field is surrounded by pedestrian paths, providing a park-like setting that is connected to the core of Penn's campus. This field is the first thing you see in Penn Park as you enter from the Walnut Street bridge. Ace Adams Field neighbors Dunning-Cohen Champions Field to the west and the Multipurpose Stadium to the south.

The field is named in honor of James "Ace" Adams – Head Men's Lacrosse Coach at Penn from 1970-77 and one of the great names in college coaching. The facility was built in conjunction with the 24-acre development of Penn Park from 2009 to 2011.
