Hall of Fame Class X - Eugene G. Venzke Ed'36

On the plaque: Four times he set a world indoor record, twice in the mile and twice in the 1,500. He was third in the mile at the 1934 NCAA Championships, earning All-America twice in the indoor mile (1935-36) and once in the outdoor mile (1935). He was individual champion at the 1935 and 1936 IC4A Outdoor Championships and twice at the AAU Championships (1933, 1936). He was the 1935-36 recipient of the Class of 1915 Award, then ran the 1,500 at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin.
