PRINCETON, N.J. – The University of Pennsylvania women's golf team placed second at the 36-hole Princeton Invitational this weekend. The third round slated for Saturday was canceled due to inclement weather.

As a team, Penn (+12) shot +9 in round one and +3 in round two. Their round two score was the best of any team in the round. Princeton won the tournament at +2. The Tigers went -2 in round one and +4 in the second round. Rutgers (+22) took third while Harvard (+24) was fourth and Columbia (+31) placed fifth.

Freshman Juliet Oh picked up where she left off at the Nittany Lion Invitational. This weekend, she tied for a first place finish with a stellar -2 score (71-69). Oh became just the third Penn freshman in the last 20 seasons to take home a tournament title.

"We are incredibly proud of how our team battled this weekend," said assistant coach Karen Siegel. "Juliet Oh's individual win along with our second place finish are both a first in team history at the Princeton Invitational."

Mi Li missed the first round due to taking an exam, but came for round two and fired a one over par (72). Claire Lu took eighth overall in the tournament, going +3 (72-73). Maggie Ni (74-75) went +7 while Adrienne Ahn-Upton (78-77) was +9 and Sophia Lu (75-78) rounded out the group with a +12.

The Quakers will be back in action at Old Course at St. Andrew's in Scotland October 12-14.
