PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team took part in the Pink Invitational hosted by Unite for Her Saturday night at the Philadelphia Convention Center. The Quakers placed second with a 195.325.
VAULT – 48.900
One of two rotations in the 48.9's, junior
Jordan Barrow took the lead on this one. Barrow earned a 9.825, with
Maggie Murphy and
Manama Fofana just behind at 9.800's.
BARS – 48.600
The final rotation of the night, the Quakers ended the bars strong.
Sophia Paris gave a 9.775, Luci Toczydlwoski a 9.725, and Barrow a 9.800.
BEAM – 48.950
The Quakers kicked things off with a bang on the beam. Junior Barrow claimed first at the meet with a 9.875 on the balance beam. Freshman
Ruth Whaley opened Penn's night with an impressive 9.800, with
Alisha Werlen and
Mimi Fletcher chipping in 9.775's.
FLOOR – 48.875
The floor exercise saw Mani Fofana land a 9.825.
Marissa Lassiter added a 9.800 with freshman
Ava Hooten just behind at 9.775.
